Do you suffer from chronic sinusitis or an inflammation of the sinus lining lasting three months or recurring frequently? If so, we may have the answer for which you've been looking.
Common symptoms of Sinusitis include: • Facial pain, pressure or congestion • Nasal obstruction or blockage • Discharge of discolored nasal mucus • Discolored post-nasal drainage • Loss of the sense of smell • Headache • Fatigue
A new option for sinusitis patients Sinuses are air-filled pockets that surround the nose. Each sinus has an opening through which mucus drains. Chronic sinusitis sufferers do not experience the normal drainage which keeps the sinus healthy.
What is Balloon Sinuplasty™? Balloon Sinuplasty™ technology is an endoscopic, catheter-based system for treating patients suffering from sinusitis. The technology uses a small, flexible Sinus Balloon Catheter to open up blocked sinus passageways, restoring normal sinus drainage and function. The technology is minimally invasive and clinically proven to be safe. To date, the Balloon Sinuplasty™ technology has improved the symptoms of thousands of chronic sinusitis sufferers and counting.
The Balloon Sinuplasty™ Approach:
Step 1. Using the Balloon Sinuplasty™ system, the ENT physician gently places a Sinus Guide Catheter and a flexible Sinus Guidewire through the nostrils to access the target sinus. Next a Sinus Balloon Catheter is advanced over the Sinus Guidewire.
Step 2. The Sinus Balloon Catheter is positioned across the blocked sinus opening and gently inflated.
Step 3. The Balloon Sinuplasty™ system is removed, leaving an open sinus passage and restoring normal drainage and function. |
